Beginning in April, the City of Derby will begin work on its annual major street maintenance projects. This year’s work includes improvements to Buckner St. from Meadowlark Blvd. to 55th St. South.
Mill and overlay work is scheduled to begin on Buckner St. the first week of April. Lane closures will occur at different times from Meadowlark Blvd. to Patriot Ave. and from 60th St. to 55th St. Two-way through traffic will be maintained throughout the entire project, but expect some minor delays in this area. Construction is estimated to take four to six weeks.
Other street maintenance projects planned for 2023 include street reconstruction work on Madison Ave. from Woodlawn to Baltimore, Westview from Madison to James, and access drives between Woodlawn and Westview. River Street and part of Windmill Road just south of Meadowlark will also have complete reconstructions. A timeline for these projects will be announced at a later date.
