Third Thursday Community Event Kicks Off August 18

Warren Riverview Park

The City of Derby is excited to announce a new art-focused event series called Third Thursday. The events will feature artist exhibits, live music, food trucks, the Kansas Grown Farmers Market and more on the third Thursday in August, September and October. 

The first Third Thursday will be held on August 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Warren Riverview Park, 321 E. Market St., and the Derby Public Library, 1600 E. Walnut Grove. Stop by both locations to enjoy art and music. Here are the details:

Activities at Warren Riverview Park

Activities at the Derby Public Library, 6-7:30 p.m.

  • Kayann Ausherman is the featured artist at the Gathering Space Gallery. An artist reception will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m.  
  • Live music will be provided by Mike and Michelle Roesch with On Tap from 6-7:30 p.m.
  • Artwork will be available for viewing until the library closes at 8:30 p.m.

The Sept. 15 and Oct. 20 events will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Madison Avenue Central Park, 512 E. Madison Ave. Stay tuned for more details to come!
