Rock Road Crack Repair Begins August 26

Sept. 1 Update
Due to staffing issues related to Covid-19, the contractor performing the crack repairs on Rock Rd. will pause their work. They are projected to restart work on Tuesday, Sept. 7. All lanes of traffic will be open until that time.

Beginning August 26, crack repair work will take place on Rock Road between Osage Rd. and Meadowlark Blvd. Work is scheduled to be completed by the end of September. Rock Road will remain open throughout the project, but residents should expect delays due to lane closures.

“Residents are encouraged to use alternate routes during construction to avoid delays,” said Alex Lane, P.E. City Engineer. “Our goal is to provide an improved ride when the work is complete.”

On August 10, the City Council authorized using savings from the City’s annual street maintenance project to make these repairs.
