Smoke on the Plains Derby BBQ & Music Fest: June 10, 11 & 12

Smoke on the Plains BBQ and Music Fest

Mark your calendars for June 10, 11 & 12 for the 10th Annual Smoke on the Plains Derby BBQ & Music Festival presented by Rock Regional Hospital. This fun and free event will be held at High Park, 2801 E. James St.

What’s different in 2021? We will not hold the following activities during the day Saturday due to the pandemic: People’s Choice Contest, Kids Corner and the military appreciation lunch. Instead, a military appreciation night, sponsored by Derby Orthodontics and Smile Safari, will be held at Rock River Rapids in June.

The carnival will return and be located in the parking lot of Field Station: Dinosaurs, 2999 N. Rock Rd. The WEEE Carnival will operate on June 10, 11 & 12.

“Bring your lawn chair and listen to music while trying something new from the food trucks on Friday or Saturday evening,” said Randy White, Mayor. “The evening Music Fest is the main attraction this year, or take the kids to the carnival at Field Station: Dinosaurs.”
