Overview of the 2022 Third Thursday Events

Thursday, October 20, 5-8 p.m. 

• Madison Avenue Central Park, 512 E. Madison Ave., 5-8 p.m.
• Derby Public Library - art galleries, 1600 Walnut Grove, 5-8 p.m.
• First Man Brewery, 4 to 10 p.m., 437 E. Madison Ave. 

Two additional event locations were at First Man Brewery, 437 E. Madison Ave., and the Derby Public Library’s Gathering Space and High Wall Galleries, 1600 E. Walnut Grove.
 
 Event details for Madison Avenue Central Park:

• Artists: Stephanie Bayliff (painter), Cort Anderson (photographer) 
• Live musicians: Harrison Steele and Patz
• Food and drink vendors: Snack Shack, Brazita Bites, Want Bierock Company & Coffee, Taters n Toppings, Grace Hill Winery and Shaken or Stirred Bartending. 
• Kansas Grown Farmers Market
• Hubbard Arts Center table
• Third Thursday T-shirts will be available for purchase

Featured artists at the Derby Library include Skip Kreibach in the Gathering Space Gallery and Lindsay Hendershot in the High Wall Gallery.

Madison Avenue Central Park, 512 E. Madison Ave.

• Enjoy music in the amphitheater, drinks in the Fireside Patio, and artist exhibits on the Event Lawn. 
  • Artists: Glass blower Zach Arroyo, Painter Phyllis Provost-Saas, Photographer Bill Fales
  • Food Truck: Face Stuffers Food Wagon, Taters N Toppings
  • Musicians in the Amphitheater: Cellist Seth Girton, Joel Lewis jazz duo
  • Beverages: Grace Hill Winery, Shaken or Stirred Bartending
  • The Derby Public Library/Derby Arts Council will provide a dinosaur-themed craft for the kids. 
  • The Derby Recreation Commission/Hubbard Arts Center will hand out Bob Ross coloring pages

Thursday, August 18, 2022 Overview

Activities at Warren Riverview Park, 321 W. Market St., 6-9 p.m.

• Rita Tillison with HeART for God, LLC, is the featured artist. Proceeds from the sales of her artwork will go to a community in Uganda, Africa. 
• Live musicians include Derby’s own J. Michael Terrell and Lisa Hittle Jazz Trio
• Food and drink vendors include Addie M’s Ice Cream, Cheezepanzee, Hot to Trot Gourmet Hot Dogs, Shaken or Stirred Bartending.
• A small selection of vendors from the Kansas Grown Farmers Market. 

• Activities at the Derby Public Library, 1600 E. Walnut Grove, 6-7:30 p.m.

  • Kayann Ausherman is the featured artist at the Gathering Space Gallery. An artist reception will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. in her honor.  
  • Live music will be provided by Mike and Michelle Roesch with On Tap 
  • The library will be open until 8:30 p.m. to view art.
