Election Information

What you need to know about elections in Derby:
  • Elections are held in odd-numbered years and are non-partisan (no declaration of a political party is needed)..
  • The Primary Election is held on the first Tuesday in August. Primaries would only occur if more than three people file for mayor or for any given ward.
  • General Elections are held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November.
