41st Annual Firecracker Race | July 4 | 4-mile at 7:30 a.m./1-mile at 8:30 a.m.
High Park, 2801 E. James St.
Join the Derby Running Club for the 41st annual Derby Firecracker Race. Pick between a 4-mile course or 1-mile course looped course through High Park. Cash awards for the fastest runners as well as age group awards..
Independence Day Parade | July 4 at 10 a.m.
Sponsored by the Derby VFW Post 7253.
To enter the parade, visit www.vfw7253.org.

Derby Historical Museum Open | July 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Woodlawn and Market
The museum has something for all ages. Admission is free, donations are welcome.
Fire Station 81 Open House | July 4, 10:30 a.m. to noon
715 E. Madison Ave.
Derby firefighters will have fire trucks on display along with the Fire Safety House following the parade.
High Park, 2801 E. James St.
Bring a blanket and lawn chair and enjoy a fun evening in Derby at High Park.
- Food trucks: Bongo Fruit Smoothies, Bierocks Babe, Funky Monkey Munchies, Taters N Toppings, Snack Shack & US, Kona Ice, Black Sheep Kettle Corn and Willie's Wings
- ADA parking will be available at the Darrell Zimmerman Family Shelter parking lot.
- No personal fireworks or alcohol allowed in the park.
