Complaints can be expressed to any department employee or expressed by filling out a Citizen Complaint Form. A member of the Professional Standards Unit investigates the complaint. In most cases, the outcome of the original complaint will be communicated to the complainant and employee in writing. If you would like to give us positive feedback, please send your comments to the Police Department or complete the Officer Feedback Form.
Members of the Derby Police Department believe that it is important to hear from the public on how officers and employees of the Derby Police Department are performing their duties. If you have experienced or observed an employee of the Derby Police Department performing their job in an outstanding manner or were satisfied with the outcome of your contact, we would like to hear from you.
The alternative is also true. If you have a negative experience with any employee of the Derby Police Department or are concerned about the actions of any department employee we would also like to know.
