Since mid-March, the City of Derby has altered the way it does business to minimize the spread of COVID-19. Derby City Hall, Welcome Center and Senior Center remain closed to the public. The only change on May 4 is the Derby Public Library drive thru will open. City staff continue to work normal business hours and are available to assist you via phone and email.
LibraryThe Library drive-thru will re-open May 4. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday thru Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and closed Sunday. Rock River RapidsRock River Rapids is scheduled to be open June 1, if possible. There will be rules to enhance social distancing and extra cleaning and sanitizing. Capacity will be reduced and fewer people will be allowed in the pool at any given time.Two slides will be closed and inner tubes will not be used. ParksPlaygrounds and public restrooms remain closed at City parks and schools.
Derby DashThe Derby Dash continues to operate. A maximum of seven passengers is allowed at any given time. Call 788-DASH to reserve a ride.
July 4 FestivitiesThe City’s fireworks show is scheduled to take place at High Park on July 4 at 7 p.m. The Firecracker Run has been cancelled. The July 4 Parade and Party in the Park at Madison Avenue Central Park have not been determined at this time.
